About Aircomplane.com™

We, in a sense, are you. More than just tired airline travelers, we are tired of the current nature of the airline travel experience. We simply want to be treated with respect, spoken to as adults, have fares, delays, and policies explained to us in clear, concise, adult language, and travel efficiently, economically, and safely.
Our goal with Aircomplane.com™ is to provide a (largely) positive forum and collective voice to let the airlines, and our abused travel brethren, know when WE ARE JUSTIFIABLY NOT HAPPY. We encourage you to join us as tastefully as your disposition allows (welcomed, but not always expected). We are The Herd Being Heard! Join us. You can reach your Spite Attendants at info@aircomplane.com

Department of Transportation Offers New, Improved Complaint Form for Airlines – Use it!

Aircomplane.com’s Spite Attendants’ never-ending quest for safe, comfortable, worry-free air travel has routed us once again to the Department of Transportation and Secretary Ray LaHood. We’re pleased to announce the news seems to be headed in the right direction.

The ability to file complaints with the DOT about airline service has been made easier, thanks to their newly redesigned website: http://airconsumer.dot.gov. Here you have the ability not only to register complaints, but to contribute on-time data, baggage mishandling stories, and information about airline safety and security.

According to LaHood, “This updated web site is part of our ongoing effort to improve resources for consumers and ensure that airline passengers are treated fairly when they fly,” adding, “We want to make it as easy as possible for consumers to find the information they need to make their air travel experience as smooth and hassle-free as possible.”

There are other useful links we invite you to inspect, including travel tips, airline bankruptcy information, and the Air Travel Consumer Report, a monthly ranking of airline performance.

The most useful, (and probably the most used) link is for the DOT’s Aviation Consumer Protection Division, where you file your basic Airline Service Complaint. Jot this information down and keep it handy:

By Phone : 202-366-2220 (TTY 202-366-0511)

By Mail: Aviation Consumer Protection Division, C-75
U.S. Department of Transportation
1200 New Jersey Ave, S.E.
Washington, DC 20590

From their website you can also contact them from their website via filling out a web form found here: http://airconsumer.dot.gov/escomplaint/es.cfm

Don’t forget, fellow aviation consumers: keep those numbers, addresses and forms handy every time you fly! The more vocal we are, the better things will be for everybody!

We're from the government, and we're here to help you.

We at Aircomplane.com™ have received very positive feedback to the information we provide on access to government agencies, direct access to complaint forms, and reports on airline service that basically fly in the face of “We’re doing the best that we can.” Please note that we have permanently posted that information into the blog body off to the right. As any blogger or webmaster will tell you, that is prime real estate on any website. We consider it a valuable tool, and we encourage you to use it. This is from a previous posting:

Here is the Department of Transportation’s Complaint Form – Keep a copy with you when you travel.

Remember, The Aviation Consumer Protection Division (ACPD) operates a complaint handling system for consumers who experience air travel service problems. Here is a link to the form:

Take names, dates, times, and circumstances, and use it! We realize that many airline employees are well-trained, professional, capable, and REMEMBER WHO THE CUSTOMER IS. They work hard to provide you with the service you’ve paid for and are entitled to.  But for the ones who SEEM TO FORGET, and their negligence or inability or desire to effectively do their job results in “air travel service problems” for you, you will be helping all airline travelers in the future by reporting your experiences and identifying them: Print a copy and keep it with you whenever you travel.
